"She was born Patsy Charlene Landers on March 21, 1929 in Littlefield, the daughter of Charles Urban Landers and Lucille Sykes Landers. She grew up in Oklahoma and Texas, graduating from Novice High School in 1946. She married Ross Ballard "John" Berry on April 2, 1947 in Brown County. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2005. She worked as a secretary for many years. She moved to Abilene in 1968 from Coleman, moving back to Coleman 2004. She was a member of the Elm Street Church of Christ.
"Survivors include her children, Johnny Carroll Berry of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Fuller of Tuscola, Charles Anthony "Tony" Berry of El Paso, Patricia Elaine "Patti" Scott of San Angelo; three sisters, Sybil Berry of Coleman, Pauline Stanley of Coleman, Nan Miller of Royce City; one brother, Charles Jack Landers of Auburn, Indiana; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
"She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law: Travis Rhoads, Billy Scott, Chase Berry, Jonathan Berry, Clint Burkey and Blake Vincent."
