Addie W. Brooks, wife of the late W.G. "Sleepy" Brooks, died April 17, 2011.
Born Addie Wooten on November 2, 1916, in Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Wooten and Lillie Brown Wooten. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was also a loving and patient foster mother who touched the lives of many children. She was the last charter member of Enon Methodist Church.
Surviving were her daughter, JoAnn Leonard of Columbia; granddaughters, Barbara A. Gantt of Columbia, Sherri Lang (Todd) of Indianapolis, Katie Leonard of Columbia; three great-grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew.
