On June 10, 1978, she was united in marriage to Bryan David Gerling.
Mrs. Gerling was a member of First Assembly of God of Sullivan. She was a member of the worship team and the church choir. She also served as president of Women's Ministries for one year.
She was a homemaker and was employed as the social services director of the St. Clair Nursing Center for 12 years.
Mrs. Gerling was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Sarah Little and husband Joel, Columbia, and Heather Gerling, St. Clair; her special friend, Crystal O'Neil, nee Saling, Columbia; one grandchild, Isaiah Bryan Little, Columbia; her mother, Alma Trimble, Lonedell; her parents-in-law, Larry and Lois Gerling, Villa Ridge; one sister, Sharon Meyer, Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 8, at First Assembly of God in Sullivan with Pastor Gary Oglesby officiating.
Private entombment was in Crestview Memorial Park, St. Clair.
