Michael David "Porkchop" Albright, 53, of 314 Liberty St., Hagerstown, and formerly of Dry Run, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at his home.

Born Aug. 3, 1944, in Clear Spring, he was the son of the late Chester L. and Helen Louise Rubeck Albright Sr.

He was a 1962 graduate of Clear Spring High School.

He was employed by the Washington County Board of Education at Clear Spring Middle School as lead custodian for the second shift, and as a part-time bartender at Mike's Prospect Street Tavern. He previously was employed by Brandt Cabinet Works.

He served with the U.S. Army.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by two sisters, Shirley E. Bivens of Mercersburg, Pa., and Edith M. Whorten of Clear Spring; six brothers, Chester L. Albright Jr., Roger A. Albright, Robert G. Albright, and James W. Albright, all of Hagerstown, Joseph L. Albright of Clear Spring, and John C. Albright of Waynesboro, Pa.; eight nieces and nephews; and two aunts.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth E. "Chub" Albright.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Donald E. Thompson Funeral Home, 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. The Rev. Robert E. Timmons will officiate. Burial will be in Blairs Valley Cemetery.
