MARY ELLEN EMRICK, 70, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she worked as a printer with Guardian Photo Lab, retiring in 1992. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary 241 and the V.F.W. 1421 Auxiliary. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed playing cards with the grandchildren and being at the lake. Surviving are her husband, Gordon Emrick of Fort Wayne; daughters, Cheryl (Nicholas) Emrick-Puccini and Heather (Allan) Young, both of San Francisco, Calif.; sons, Gregory (Laura) Emrick of Columbia City and Jeffery (Michelle) Emrick of Columbia City; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Lynn Emrick; and brother, Von (Connie) Grogg of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Von and Geraldine Grogg; son, Brian Emrick; grandson, Glenn R. Emrick; sister, Coleen Groh and brother, Michael Grogg. Funeral service is Tuesday 10 am at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. with calling one hour prior to service, Pastor Steve Johnson officiating.
