Andrews
Carson Andrews, 72, of Pineview Road, died in hospital early Sunday morning, Sept. 26, after a brief illness.
The son of the late Nettie Brown and William David Andrews, he was born March 14, 1904, in Banks County, and had lived in the Toccoa area for the last 30 years. Mr. Andrews was retired from Toccoa Manufacturing Co. He was a member of the Lamar Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Theo Kelly Andrews of the residence; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Savage of Toccoa; one son, Vernon Andrews of Watkinsville; five brothers, Billy Andrews of Atlanta, Roy Lee Andrews of Elberton, Pat Andrews, Tommy Andrews and Cleo Andrews, all of Toccoa; and three sisters, Mrs. Fred Ausburn of Baldwin, Mrs. James Stroud of Cornelia and Mrs. Wiley Philips of Toccoa. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Blake officiating. Pallbearers were Jessie Poole, Joe Andrews, Delano Andrews, David Andrews, Jim Hicks and Troy Ivester.
Interment was in Stephens Memorial Gardens with Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
