Pioneer in 1849. He mined for gold in Siskiyou and Trinity Counties. He was also elected Sheriff of Scott Bar in 1851, and later the CA State Assembly. He held the first land
grant in Siskiyou County, and founded Table Rock Ranch, 1852. Upon his death at age 49, he had six children and one on the way.
