Clarence S. Abel
Clarence S. Abel, 71, husband of the late Carrie M. Dehoff Abel, died at 11:15 a.m. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ruth Folkenroth, 2516 Eastwood drive.
A native of Hellam township, he was the son of Mrs. Katie J. Fauth Abel and the late Charles W. Abel.
He was a retired custodian for Central School district. He was a member of Canadochly United Church of Christ and a life member of Yorkana Fire company.
In addition to the daughter with whom he lived and his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Richard R. Fake, Hellam RD 2, and Grace Louise Abel, at home; two sons, Clarence Jr., at home, and Charles D. Abel, Wrightsville; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cora Throne, Spring Grove RD 1; Mrs. Raymond Reever and Mrs. Mary Poff, Hallam; two brothers, John H. Abel Hellam RD 2, and Charles H. Abel, York RD 3.
His pastor, Rev. Charles F. Glass, will officiate at funeral services Saturday at 2 p.m. at Etzweiler Funeral home, 1111 East Market street. Burial will be in Canadochly cemetery.
