My Great Grandfather; The Son of William H. Murray Sr. and husband of Celina Bruneau. Peter was born at the Cohoes Hospital, Cohoes, New York in November 1890. He was a lifelong resident of Cohoes and a member of the St. Patrick’s Church and a member of the E.T. Ruane Post of the American Legion of Cohoes and VFW Post. Peter was a World War I veteran having served overseas in France and before that at the Mexican border during the Mexican Border Crisis of 1916; in chase of Pancho Villa under General Pershing's Command. He was a member of the 105th Regt. Company B.
In France during World War I, he was shot in the Ankle and mustard gassed. He returned home and remained at a Brooklyn Hospital in 1918, before returning home.
Upon his return he became a Father to 3 Daughters and 3 Sons before he succumbed to a Mustard Gas Bubble which remained and exploded in his lung years later, he died at his home at 14 Devlin Street, Cohoes.
