Mrs. James Gore King, widow of James Gore King, died at her residence, 38 East Twenty-first Street, yesterday. Mrs. King, who was Miss Caroline King, was born in this city in 1819. She was a cousin of her husband's and was related to the Duer and Gracie families. Mrs. King was a typical old New Yorker, and, possessed of a remarkable memory, was noted for her genealogical and historical knowledge of early New York and New Yorkers. She is survived by two sons, Landreth H. King and John Alsop King, who married Miss Elizabeth W. Tompkins. Her funeral will take place in Calvary Church at 9:45 A.M. tomorrow and the interment will vein the old King burying plot, in Jamaica, L.I.
