Son of Wesley Rudolph and Bertha A Geesman and Grandson of Rudolph R. Geesaman.

Wes met Ottilie in September 1940, at that time being a civilian, but not long after their marriage on October 17, 1941, world war two began and he became a soldier once more. He enlisted January 16, 1942. He served with the Army engineers. Briefly training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; about 18 months on the construction of the Alaska-Canada highway; Officer Candidate School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and the European Theatre. There was a short respite as a civilian once more after the war. He re-enlisted in 1945, his duties were mainly in the Intelligence Service. He learned to read and write Chinese Mandarin at the Presidio of Monterey, California and spent tours of duty in Japan and Korea. At the time of his retirement in 1959, he taught in the Reserve Officers Training Corp. program. He is now a Captain in the Reserves (Retired).

Served as superintendent of Washington State Soldiers Home, Orting, and business manager Department of Social and Health Services Region 5, retired 1976. Survived by wife, Tela; sons, Gary Geesman, Utah; Eldon Geesman, California; Dennis Wesley Geesman, Lynnwood, Edward Geesman, Zig Zag, Ore. and daughters, Kerry Pommes, Half Moon Bay, Calif. and Martha Gerlicher, Portland. Private services. Cremation.
