Baker Lodge #720 F&AM, member of Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, York Rite and Kerbela Shrine Temple and was a Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #337, Corryton. He was a former Union County Commissioner serving the 3rd District and a retired employee of BellSouth with 31 years of service and was a member of C.W.A. Local #3805. Survivors: wife, Betty Cox; parents, Willie David and Opal (Cook) Cox; daughters, Julie Woolard and fianc‚, Steve Davis, Whitney Wright; son and daughter in law, Jimmy Ray, Jr. and Michelle Cox; grandchildren, Morgan and Tucker Woolard, Nikki Cox, Jordan Jennings, Logan and Lucas Wright; brother and sister in law, David and Jeannie Cox; sister and brother in law, Connie and Jeff Atkins; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and an infinite amount of friends to include special friends, Donnie and Verleen Miller, Bud and Ida Jane Love, B.J. and Betty Hurst; loyal K-9 companion, Jake.
