Ola Mae Turk West, 96, of Cleveland formerly of Norcross, passed away February 5, 2011 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, GA after a period of declining health.

Born in Hall County on October 9, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Cephus "Ceaf" and Emma Hanes Turk. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Norcross, a retired clerk from KMart and also worked for the Wayne Watson Company and Norris Candy Company both located in Atlanta.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, Loyd H. West and son, Terrell West. She was the lone survivor of 12 siblings and their spouses.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Roger P. Williams will officiate. Interment will be in Chestnut Mountain Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
