FILLMORE - Melva Finlinson Day, 61, Fillmore, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1976 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. One of three who died as a result of an accident on I-15 near Blackfoot, Idaho. Other victims were her daughter, Pauline Day Blackburn, and her granddaughter Lynnise Blackburn, both of Granger.

Born Feb. 11, 1915, to George E. and Mary Roper Finlinson, in Oak City, Utah. Married Newell D. Day. Nov. 18, 1935 in Salt Lake Temple. Pest President of Ward Relief Society. Stake YWMIA President, choir director, dance director, primary worker, Manti Temple ordinance worker, deputy county assessor and numerous other church positions.

Survivors; husband, two sons and daughter, Dwight F. Cincinnati, Ohio, Carolyn D. Blackburn, Idaho Falls, Lee N., Orem, 15 grandchildren; four brother, three sisters, Esdras Marvin and Mrs. Lucy Christensen, Oak City, Angle Lyman, Rexburg, ldaho, Mrs. Oakland (Martha) Delta, Edward, Fillmore, and Lenox, Prove.

Funeral services, Monday, noon, at Fillmore stake house. Friends call at Olpin Mortuary, Sunday 6 to 8 p.m., and at Fillmore Stake Center, Monday 10:30 to services. Burial in Oak City Cemetery, Tuesday, 4:30 pm.
