Dr. Rossman Succumbs Thursday
Grove City-Dr. Walter F. Rossman, 75, of Grove City, died suddenly at 3am Thursday in his home.
Dr. Rossman was born in Ninevah on Sept. 30, 188
8, a son of Samuel and Effie Bashline Rossman.
He had been practicing osteopathic medicine in Grove City for more than 50 years. He was one of the original partners in the hospital known for years as the Bashline-Rossman Hospital.
Four years ago he sold his interest in the hospital and entered semi-retirement. However, he spent most of the day at the hospital and was still actively engaged in practice.
Surviving are his wife, Roma, and three married daughters, Margaret, of Eleanor, NJ, Anna Mary of Ridgewood, NJ and Ruth, of Rochester, PA; two sisters, Mrs. John (Bertha) Lynn and Mrs. George (Esther) Knight of Knox RD1 and seven grandchildren. Several nieces and nephew, some of them in this area, also survive.
Removal was made to the Cunningham Funeral Home where friends will be received until 1pm Sunday. The body will be taken to Grace Methodist Church and will lie in state until 3pm.
Dr. James R. Pollock will officiate at the service beginning at 3pm. Interment will be in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Grove City.
