Carlene Moore, 78, loving mother, wife and grandmother, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at her residence in Conroe, Texas surrounded by the love of her family. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Roby. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery under the direction of Weathersee-Ray Funeral Home.
Born January 23, 1933 in Roby, Texas, Carlene graduated from Roby High School in 1949 and married her husband of sixty-one years, Ray Moore, the same year. She was devoted to her family, from her beloved grandparents to her beloved grandchildren and everyone in between. Carlene was generous and hospitable throughout her life, always welcoming family and friends in her home. She loved art, books, and music, and as hard as she was willing to work, she also knew how to have fun. It was impossible not to laugh with her when she laughed. Carlene was not someone who did anything half-way, especially when it came to those she loved. She had an indomitable spirit that we believe will continue to bless us and watch over us.
Carlene is survived by her husband Ramon Stuart Moore; two sons and daughters-in law, Tim and Jennifer Moore and Joe and Karon Moore; one daughter and son-in-law, Christy Moore and Kent Butler; six grandchildren, Nick Kincaid, Kyle Moore, Travis Moore, Tyler Moore, Aaron Moore, and Raychel Moore; one brother Don Bolton, two sisters, Sandra Vlasin and Tommie Kinsey; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
