Beloved and adored husband, father, grandfather, Robert Thomas Baer, age 53, of Piedmont, California passed away in Oakland, California on February 11, 1994 due to cardiorespiratory failure.

He was born September 14, 1940, a son of Leon and Kathryn Baer of California.

He married Linda Rytting in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 7, 1970. He was an active member of the LDS Church, having held numerous positions, including branch president, Stake Sunday School president, bishopric counselor and was currently teaching Gospel Doctrine.

He was actively involved with the Scouting program. He enjoyed music, singing, computers and family history.

He was born and raised in the East Bay area of Northern California. He graduated from the University of California/Berkeley, and the Boalt Hall Law School. He was currently an Administrative Law Judge of the California Public Utilities Commission.

He is survived by his parents, wife, and children, Kathryn, Mrs. Samuel (Julianne) Bushman, Christine, John, Stephen, and Susan Baer. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Glen (Bonnie) Dolberg, and brothers, William, Donald and Ronald Baer.

He was preceded in death by one brother, David Baer and his wife's parents, George and Maxine Rytting.

Funeral services were held on February 15, 1994 in Oakland, California. A memorial service will be held at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1074 North Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah on February 17, 1994 at 12 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to services.

Interment: Lindquist's Memorial Park in Layton. Donations in his memory can be made to the LDS Missionary Fund.
