Hollywood horror and western film director, writer, actor, and producer. Born in Hungary on May 15, 1912, his full name was Sasvari Farkas Fawi Tothfalusi Toth Endre Antai Mihaly. Among his many films are "Spontaneous Combustion" (1990), "Terror Night" (1987), "El Condor" (1970), "Play Dirty" (1968), "Billion Dollar Brain" (1967), "Day of The Outlaw" (1959), "Monkey On My Back" (1957), "Hidden Fear" (1957), "Tanganyika" (1954), "Crime Wave" (1954), "Pitfall" (1948), "Dark Waters" (1944), "None Shall Escape" (1944), "Jungle Book" (1942), "Lydia" (1941), "Lawrence of Arabia" (1962), and "Thief of Baghdad" (1940). His best known film is "House of Wax" (1953), starring Vincent Price. It was also considered the best 3-D film ever. He was married to actress Veronica Lake from December 13, 1944 to June 1952.
