Frank William Snyder, 93, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Born in Medimont, Idaho, in 1916 to John Wesley Snyder and Lillian Beulah Lind. He was a lifelong Coeur d'Alene area resident.

He grew up on a ranch in Lane, Idaho, and graduated from high school in Rose Lake, Idaho. He worked as a logger for most of his life, but will be remembered by most as a huckleberry wine maker, who loved scouting for and gathering huckleberries in the mountains around Coeur d'Alene.

He married Ruth Agnes Davidson in 1946. She preceded him in 1984. He then married Bette M. Smelcer, who preceded him in 1998.

He is survived by one sister and three children. One son, Robert Snyder, preceded him. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A graveside memorial service was held Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens.
