She is survived by her husband and best friend of 63 years, Melvin E. Hampton; a son, Bruce (Rosanne) Hampton, Harrison County; two daughters, Angela Hampton Jacobs, Lexington and Mary Chris Hampton, Cynthiana; a brother, John William "Muff" (Shirley) Adams, Lebanon, Tennessee; a sister, Margaret (Houston) Rose, Cynthiana; three grandchildren, Heather L. (Matt) Moore, Mary E. (Joey) Grubb and Edgar Wesley Hampton and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Ware Funeral Home by Dr. Larry Bishop. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
