Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Hathaway-Peterman Chapel with the Rev. Lester McClelland officiating with burial in Robinson Cemetery west of Weaubleau. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Ms. Easton, 92, Oxford, Ill., formerly of Weaubleau, died in Maple Crest Nursing Home, Belvidere, Ill. She was born the daughter of Madison Hawkins Lewis and Laura Claire Bailey Lewis.

She was a retired teacher and taught at Macks Creek R-1 County Schools. She received her bachelor's degree at Southwest Missouri State University and her master's degree at Drury University. She moved to Weaubleau as a young bride of Dr. G.R. Easton in 1939. She was a member of Weaubleau Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gail R. Easton, in January 1981.

Survivors include her two daughters, Delta King of Springfield and Patricia McClelland and husband Lester of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Robert Lewis and wife Jeanne; a sister, Ann Jones and husband Wallace; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
