Burdella Joyce Davis, age 66, of Highlandville, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. She was born February 10, 1945, in Dora, Missouri, the daughter of James Ezra Owen and Margaret Jane (Moss) Owen.

She was united in marriage to Franklin Ernest Davis on September 28, 1962. Throughout her working career Burdella managed a convenience store, a deli and bakery, and was employed by Fasco. She was baptized into the Church of Christ. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: Her husband, Frank; three sons, Huey Davis, Nixa, James Davis, Highlandville, and Darian Davis and wife Teresa, Highlandville; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Josh, Jacob, Nikki, Austin, Landon, Cole, and Devin; four great-grandchildren, Tristen, Jayden, Beau, and Toby; two brothers, Richard Owen and James Owen; three sisters, Mary Collins, Omega Howard, and Janice Sikes; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Etta Young, a brother, William Alvin Owen, and her parents.

A graveside funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 28, in Martin Cemetery, Highlandville, with Rev. Steve Hall officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
