Charles Siclis was born to parents Ephraim and Esther Rosinsky Ziclis. His mother was a doctor with the Pasteur Institute in Paris and father was an opera singer at Scala Milano. Charles was a French architect who studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Jean-Louis Pascal's studio and awarded diploma in 1920. Charles' modernistic designs were applied to 18 theatres and fifty private villas, and cafes in Europe and South America. He also designed camouflage used by the French Army for munition works and armament factories, and offered these "secret" methods to the United States during WWII (according to his 1942 obit. in the NY Times archives). He had a brother who was an actor/comedian named Emile Maurice Boreo. Charles was married to Stella Philis and had two sons, Claude and Yves.
