BILOXI --- Pearl B. Dear, 83, of Biloxi died Monday, June 28, 1999, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Dear was born in Auburn, MS., and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for most of her life. She was a member of Nativity BVM Cathedral in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Dear; her father, Abe Bowlin and mother, Mattie Allred Bowlin; four brothers, Elam Bowlin, Ben Bowlin, John Bowlin and Jewel Bowlin; four sisters, Ethel Alred, Bertha Bates, Myrtis Adams and Margaret Duncan; and two daughters, Sadie E. Guttierrez Wargo and Patsy C. Dear.
Survivors include a grandson, Carl Guttierrez of Biloxi; three granddaughters, Carolyn Whitten of Biloxi, Rebecca Lewallen and her husband, Lou, of Biloxi and Jean Bates of Gulfport; six great-grandchildren, Patricia Parker of Saucier, David Whitten Jr. and wife, Mindy, Elizabeth Bates, April Bates, Melissa Bates and Doug Bates, all of Gulfport; and two great-great-grandchildren, Ashton Whitten and Madison Whitten, both of Gulfport.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
