Jane and the family were very religious, devout Presbyterians, and records exist that Jane Shannon united with the Presbyterian Church of Keene on the 3rd of January, 1831.

Shannon 1830-1832, Thomas Shannon 1832-1903, Mary Ann Shannon 1835-1935, Nathan Shannon 1836-1878, Elizabeth "Eliza" Jane Shannon 1838-1894, Samuel Lee Shannon 1840-1878, William B. Shannon 1844-1864, John Johnson Shannon 1846-1913, Joel Glover Shannon 1850-1905, Cynthia P. Shannon 1851, and Joseph F. Shannon 1855-1935.
