A native of Bourbon County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Franks and the late Lydia Lee White. She was retired employee of Liggett and Meyers and was a longtime member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Clintonville, KY, a member of the Moonglow Homemakers Club and a member of the American Legion Auxillary.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Vernon Jean and Myron Coleman of Lexington; one brother, Robert C. Franks of Paris; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; twenty four great great grandchildren; two great great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday April 26, 2011 at the Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Winford Smith. Entombment will follow in the Evergreen Memory Gardens.
