Funeral services for Barbara Jean Asher, 59, of Wagoner, and her husband, Robert Asher, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, April 25 at the Mallett Funeral Home Chapel in Wagoner with the Reverend Bruce Von Wald officiating.
Barbara was born Aug. 22, 1951 in Wichita, Kan. to her parents, Loyd Dan and Lena (Hammond) Asher Baker.
The youngest of six children, her family moved to California when Barbara was a child. She grew up and graduated from Artesia high school in Lakewood, Calif.
She moved to Wagoner in 1988 and was married to Robert Henry Asher.
Barbara was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family and her beloved pets.
She passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Loyd Junior Asher, and by her husband, Robert, three days before.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Elmer Loyd Asher, Glenda Blurton, and her husband, Henry, Anna Mae Asher, Dan Asher and his wife, Sharon, and Teri Rangel and her grandson, Adrian, all of Wagoner; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
