Died Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 with her loving family surrounding her. She was born February 2, 1963, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the daughter of Martin and Margaret Gillentine. On August 7, 1997, she married Roger E. James and he survives. Connie was the Owner/ Operator of Connie's Day Care Center in Ypsilanti for 15 years. She recently graduated from Washtenaw Community College and was attending Eastern Michigan University. Survivors besides her husband include 2 children: Heather Geer and Brett Geer; 2 step-children: Clinton James and Charlotte James; l grandchild; Sister and Brother, Patricia (Mack) McDaniels and Eddie Gillentine; Sister-in-law, Thelma Gillentine; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother, Ron Gillentine. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Janowiak Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Putman of the First Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor, MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 Noon.
