Helen J. Barto, 92, of Liberty, was called to heaven Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Born June 6, 1918, in Port Vue, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Janus; and the wife of William J. Barto. Helen was a great wife, mother and friend. She was a founding member of St. Mark Roman Catholic Church and Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Early in life, she taught church Sunday school. Helen was chaplain of Port Vue Senior Citizens and was known for adding a bit of humor in fulfilling her duties with the seniors. A stylist at the former Edmund s Beauty Salon in Pittsburgh, she was also an employee of the former Star Restaurant in McKeesport.
