On April 10, 1954, Orv married Marilyn Bienash at Cargill United Methodist Church. He retired in 1990 after working 40 years at General Motors. Orv played fast pitch softball and hardball for with several area teams and umpired for many years. He was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge # 197 and U.A.W. Local # 95.
Orv Ellis is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marilyn, his children, Scott of Oklahoma, Diane (Mark Meyers) of Chandler, Arizona, Matthew (Michelle) of Kokomo, Indiana and 5 Grandchildren, Jade, Ryan, Elizabeth, Emily and Sammy.
He is further survived by sisters, Louise Shekels and Donna (Harold) Schlueter Parker, brothers, Gib (Marilyn) and Elmer (Darlene) Ellis, sisters-in-law, Nancy (Edward) Spenske, Pauline McGuire, Joanne (Bob) Diotte, many nieces and Nephews.
His is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Earnie Ellis.
