Max Ryan, 61, of Brooklyn, IA, died Monday, April 6, 1992, in the VA Medical Center, Iowa City, Iowa.
Memorial services Max Ryan were held at 11 AM, April 10,1992, at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn. Rev. Kalen Fristad officiated and interment was in the Brooklyn cemetery with military rites by Francis Gallagher American Legion Post #294.
Max Eugene Ryan, son of Joseph Mark Ryan and Edna Rebecca Ostrom Ryan, was born June 24, 1930, at Brooklyn, IA. He received his education in a country school and the Brooklyn High school graduating in 1947. He served with the US Navy from December 10, 1948 to August 21, 1950.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Thelma Carter who died in 1976; and his nephew, Mike Wenger.
Surviving are his family, Bobbi Richards, Becky Ryan, Maxine Wenger, Marjorie Cannon, LuAnn Bacon, Patty Gasper, Lisa Evans, Dean Curtis, and five grandchildren.
