Herman Ohrt of La Porte City Dies
LA PORTE CITY — Herman Ohrt, 66, farmer in the Mt. Auburn, Vinton and La Porte City areas all his life, died Thursday at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton after a lingering illness.
He is survived by his widow, six children, Harold, Donald, Robert, Mrs. Merle Koser and Mrs. James Walker, all of Vinton, and Mrs. Myron Sheffler, Mt. Auburn; also three brothers.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Johannsen-Rossow Funeral Home, with burial in West View Cemetery.
