Kyle James Thornton, age 16, passed away Sunday December 31, 2000 in Sandy, Utah.
Born December 12, 1984 in Sandy, Utah to Scott Dean and Julie Anna Russell Thornton. He was a student at Olympus High School and ushered for University of Utah Sporting and Entertainment Events. He possessed special gifts in art and working with animals; he loved to show off his pet ferret Reggie which has made appearances in schools and hospitals across the valley. He was a very special buddy to his Grandfather Russell after the passing of his Grandmother.
Kyle is survived by parents; sister, Ana Thornton, Sandy, Utah; grandparents: James L. and Carol Thornton, American Fork, Utah; James R. Russell, Rose Park, Utah; great-grandmother, Leva Woolsey, Pleasant Grove, Utah; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by a grandmother, Dorothy A. Russell, aka "Shoshie".
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 5, 2001 at 12 noon at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple where friends may call Thurs. 6-8 p.m. and Fri. one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
