Graveside services for Florence Ellen Souders, 86, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary Cemetery.Mrs. Souders died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.She was born Feb. 17, 1920, in Lawrence, the daughter of Ed and Ottie Aungerer Tyron. She grew up and attended public schools in Lawrence.Mrs. Souders worked for Burnett Instrument in Lawrence and as a cook at Woodlawn School. She catered dinners and parties in Lawrence and volunteered helping the disabled. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Lawrence.She married Leo A. Souders on Oct. 16, 1938, in Lawrence. He died May 17, 1971. A grandson also died earlier.Survivors include two sons, Charles Henry Souders, Lawrence, and Leo Edwin Souders, Osage Beach, Mo.; two brothers, Charley Tryon, Kansas City, Kan., and Paul Tryon, Lawrence; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence.Online condolences may be sent at www.rumsey-yost.com.
