COLLINS, ERNEST L. - 89 of Corryton, passed away peacefully Saturday. Member of Marbledale Baptist Church and a retired carpenter. Surviving: wife, Patricia Sheppard Collins; sons, Mike, Keith, Daniel Collins; daughters & husbands, Peggy Brooks, Patricia & Jim Norton, Jonnie & James Surrett, Paulette & Terry Isherwood, Tracy Collins & fiancé Josh Lyles; brother, Paul & Geneva Collins; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral services 8 p.m. Tuesday Cooke Chapel. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. prior to services. Pallbearers: Dwayne Brooks, Josh Lyles, Keith Collins, Daniel Collins, Teddy Bryant, Vance Sheppard. Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Collins, Union County Rescue Squad. Interment 1 p.m. Wednesday Asbury Cemetery with Rev. Oliver Wolfenbarer officiating. www.cookemortuary.com
