Son of James Russell Ivie and Eliza McKee Fausett

Married Martha Ann Memmott, 21 Jul 1864, Mount Pleasant Sanpete, Utah

Biography - Benjamin was two years old when he crossed the plains with his parents in 1848, in the Brigham Young Company. The family moved from Salt Lake City to Provo, then to Mount Pleasant, Utah. In 1863 the family moved to Round Valley, settling at the Gap, south of Graball. After his marriage in 1864 to Martha Ann Memmott, he made his home in Round Valley at a place later called Scipio. Martin was a very kind and understanding husband and father. His wife Martha Ann was away from home a great deal caring for the sick and delivering babies to many homes in Scipio. Although she had eleven children of her own. Martin always urged her to go where she was needed, while he would get meals for the family, sing to them, tell them stories and tuck them into bed when she was away. After Martha died, Martin closed their home and went from one of his children's homes to another, until he passed away at the home of his youngest son, Jerome, in Lynndyl.
