John, a carpenter and general utility man, died from an accident in the Capron Knitting Company of Utica when, attempting to repair a hood on a ceiling ventilation shart, his clothing caught on rapidly rotating belts near the shaft and was dragged around the belt wheels until they could be stopped. A day later, Dec. 22, 1908, he died from the injuries.
