In Alfred, N.Y., Sept. 7, 1882 of a cancerous tumor of the bowels, William H. Green, in the 64th year of his age. For several weeks his sufferings were very intense, but he endured
them with patience, trusting in Jesus, whom he learned to love in his youth. He felt willing and ready to go, believing that it would be well with him on the other side of the river. His funeral was largely attended, showing how highly he was esteemed by his neighbors and friends. He leaves a wife and two children, and a large circle of other friends.
