This is a memorial only for Elizabeth Green spouse of Edmond D. Green who died sometime between the 1850 census and the 1860 census in Yalobusha county, Mississippi. There are no family records for Elizabeth's maiden name--some have recorded the spouse of Edmond D. Green as Caroline Tankersley, but in the biography of James F. Donham, the parents of Susan Ann R. Green were named as Edmond D. Green and Elizabeth Green. Elizabeth shows up in the 1850 census with her family.

I have selected place of burial as Pisgah Cemetery because they have three daughters buried in this cemetery.

Their children were:
1. Lucretia Caroline Green born 1828 in North Carolina married Thomas Jefferson Tankersley on April 3, 1850 in Yalobusha County, Ms---no children born to this marriage, resided in district 14, Calhoun County, Ms.
2. Louise Elizabeth Green born 1829 in NC and married James Harvey Karr November 4, 1852 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. Four children were born to the couple--they were Mary M. Karr, John Karr, James S. Karr and Lois Elizabeth Karr born March 26, 1860. Louise Elizabeth died shortly after the birth of her youngest child.
3.Archibald L. P. Green born 1830 married Mary A. E. Jordan July 28, 1858 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. No other information on this couple.
4. Mary A. Green born February 1832 in North Carolina married James W. Kestler before 1850. They lived next to her parents in 1850 and 1860 census. They had five children: George W. Kestler, Lucretia J. Kestler, Alsa E. Kestler, John E. Kestler, and William D. Kestler. Mary died before 1900 census. James W. Kestler died 1910. They are buried at Paris Memorial Cemetery, Paris, Lafayette County, Mississippi.
5.Martha Emedlind Green born December 1833 in Marion County, Alabama and died November 1, 1926 in Tillatoba, Yalobusha County, Mississippi. She first married Andrew Pruitt McCullar February 2, 1854 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. They had three children: Angeline L. McCullar married Miles Martindale, David Sinclair McCullar, and Pruitt Lem McCullar. Andrew Pruitt McCullar died before 1870 probably during Civil War of Panola Co., Ms. In 1870 Martha was married to either F. W. or T. W. Martin. She was living with her married son,David and was widowed in the 1900 census. Her children were buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Panola County, Mississippi.
6. Sarah Jane Green born December 5, 1837 --twin to Susan Ann R. Green--born in Yalobusha Co., Ms.
married David Bradford Cotham July 26, 1860 in Drew county, Arkansas. David was widowed and had several children. Sarah and David had two sons, Edward A. Cotham born October 6, 1861 and David Bradford Cotham, Jr. born August 1864 in Drew Co., Ar. David, Sr. died in the Civil War in a POW camp Rock Island, Illinois on September 13, 1864. They moved to Panola Co., Ms and were living next door to sister, Martha, by 1880 census the boys were back in Drew Co., Ar. living with the Donham's and Cotham families.
7. Susan Ann R. Green born December 5, 1837 (twin to Sarah Jane) in Yalobusha Co, Ms and married James F. Donham July 24, 1855 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. They moved to Drew County, Arkansas where they lived the remainder of their lives and are buried at Jordan Cemetery, Drew co., Ar. They had nine children: Rufus Owen Donham, Mourning Elizabeth Donham, Amanda J. (Jane?) Donham, Susan Catherine Donham, Charles Edmund Donham, John K Donham, Marcus Leonard Donham, Alexander A Donham, and Emmette Alonzo Donham.
8. Harriet M. Green born March 27, 1840 in Yalobusha Co., Ms and died March 29, 1885 in Water Valley, Yalobusha Co., Ms. first married E. A. Caruthers July 26, 1860 in Yalobusha Co., Ms. Later married William L. Woods. They are both buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Water Valley, Yalobusha County, Mississippi.
9. Edna Ellen Green born August 30, 1841 in Yalobusha Co., Ms. and died May 2, 1922 and buried in Tula Cemetery, Tula, Lafayette County, Mississippi. Edna first married Samuel L. Paschall and had a daughter Anna L. Paschall, born August 13, 1862. Samuel died in the Civil War August 18, 1862 in Richmond Co., Virginia. She later married J. W. Watts, a widower. They had one daughter, Daisy Watts who married Dannie Oscar Hipp. They both died young leaving a child, Louis H. Hipp to be raised by Edna.
10. Virginia Araminta Green born July 6, 1844 in Yalobusha co., Ms and died May 4, 1919 buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Water Valley, Yalobusha County, Mississippi. Virgie married Curtis M. McCullar about 1865. They had eight children, C. E.McCullar, a daughter, born 1868; K. B. McCullar, daughter, born 1870;Elizabeth E. McCullar born September 9, 1872; N. M. McCullar, daughter, born 1874; Claibourn Edwin McCullar, son, born August 30, 1877; Flautt McCullar, daughter born August 1879;Thomas McKee McCullar, son born May 1881 and, Georgie McCullar, daughter, born February 1886.
11. John T. Green born September 22, 1846 in Yalobusha Co., Ms and died July 27, 1907 and buried Oak Hill Cem., Water Valley, Yalobusha Co., MS. John married Francis M. Fly December 18, 1869 Yalobusha County, Mississippi. They had two children Josephine Green and Thomas E. Green.
12. Nancy L. Green born April 16, 1849 in Yalobusha Co., Ms and died October 25, 1905 and buried in Pisgah Cemetery, Water Valley, Yalobusha County, Mississippi. Nannie married Anderson M. McCullar, Corporal October 17, 1866 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. They had four children: Hughlett L. McCullar; Alfred D. McCullar, Harriet Cynthia Lenora McCullar married Thomas L. Crocker and buried in Salem Cemetery, Yalobusha County, Mississippi. Modena S. McCullar married Jessie Monroe Wolfe and are buried Ford's Well Cemetery, Yalobusha County, Mississippi.
