Helen R. Payne-Pope went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the age of 82. Mother was a true "Yellow Rose of Texas" and Did Truly Love "Her Texas". She Will Be Remembered By So Many. Helen was born to William and Loretta Landrum on February 23, 1929 in Petrolia Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; 3 sisters Billie Inez Landrum Jary, Mary Louise "Teenie" Landrum Smith, Kathaleen Estella Landrum; and 1 brother W.A. "Dub" Landrum Jr. Helen is survived by her husband Walter S. "Rusty" Pope Jr.; former husband Clifford Lee Payne Sr.; 5 sons Clifford Lee Payne Jr. and Joan, John Veach Payne II and wife Gay Lynn, William Lynn Payne and wife Michelle, Guy Phillip Payne, Kevin Leonard Payne and wife Yvette; Rusty's children: Paul, Barbara, Melody, and Suzanne; grandchildren Jarrod, Jesse, Aaron, Tara, Justin, Loren, Chase; great grandchildren Allie, Kenny, Jackson; 1 sister Betty Sue Landrum Blackmore; sister in law Frances (Jim) Landrum; special friends Sylvia, Maria, Tony; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
