Lola and Virgel married November 22, 1933, at Chickasha, Grady County, Oklahoma and lived in the Oklahoma City area most of her life. She was a charter member of the Bethany Church of Christ where she was active until her death after a brief illness. Lola worked as an Avon Representative for 22 years and as a Grandy's hostess since 1984. She was preceded in death by her husband and survived by son Roy Monroe Avants of Bethany. OK and daughter Frieda Mae Rothaus of Warr Acres, OK. Also survived by grandchildren Wes Avants, Atlanta GA, Karen Lovelace, Minot ND, Paula Grindstaff, Pottsboro, TX, Jimmy Burkhart, Arlington, Tx, Kenneth Burkhart, Warr Acres, and Sherra Russell, Lewisville, TX, fourteen great grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters.
