MELVIN F. REED

SUMMITVILLE - Melvin F. Reed, 83, of Summitville, died Monday morning following an illness of six weeks. He was born in Delaware County and had lived in the Summitville community since 1936.

He was a member of the Summitville Methodist Church.

Survivors include the widow, Fronie; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Cunningham, Summitville; Mrs. John Sailers, Laynnwood, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Della Ice and Mrs. Wibur Vetor, both of Summitville, and two brothers, Lawrence Reed of Munci and Edward Reed of Alexandria.

The body was taken to the Vinson Hasler Funeral Home, where friends may call and where final rites will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. John Pattison, pastor of the Summitville Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Vinson Memorial Cemetery.
