Services for Edna Earle McDonald were held Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, at 11 a.m. from Coye Assembly of God. The Reverends Andy Stoddard, Ray Luke and Mitchell McDonald officiated. Burial was in Coye Assembly of God Cemetery in Preston under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
Mrs. McDonald, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, in her sons home in Preston.
She was a native and longtime resident of the Coye community of Kemper County. She was a retired elementary school teacher having taught at Lynville, West Kemper and Prince Chapel schools. She was a charter member of Coye Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Lester McDonald in 2002.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy McDonald of Preston; two grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Billy Sam Baughman of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Larry Wayne Nowell, Kevin Copeland, James Wessel, Donald Luke, Barry Wright, Rex McDonald, Lonnie Long and Danny James.
