Mrs. Reece was a Christian and a lifelong member of Pleasant Vale Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught the Beginners Class for a number of years.
She attended church as long as her health permitted.
She was a great mother, a good friend, and a good neighbor. She had a very special love in her heart for children. She loved her special cat, "Frisky" very much.
She was the widow of Pete Reece.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Judy Burgner and Sue and Jimmy Greenway; three granddaughters and their spouses: Susan and Stacy Street of Elizabethton, Kelleye and Carl Malone of Telford, and Samantha Burgner of Johnson City; four great-grandchildren: Annie Street, Nicholas Street, Sierra Malone, and Silas Malone; a sister-in-law: Ruth Britton; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew and niece: Stanton and Carolyn Britton of Chuckey; and a special friend of the family: Jeff Prater of Johnson City.
She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Clyde Britton and was preceded in death by three sisters: Agnes Collins, Georgia Burchfield, and Jane Ripley; four brothers: Clifford Britton, Sid Britton, Howard Britton, and Hudson Britton.
