Grandson of William Bynum, Sr & Mary Fort
Husband of
#1 Cynthia Easley
#2 Nancy Murphree
#3 Blancy Haney
Father of at least 14 children
(1) There is no evidence that he had a middle name. He had a grandson named Isaac Newton Bynum but neither he nor his son Isaac Jr. ever appear in any record with a middle name or initial.
(2 Surely he never set foot in Sampson County, NC He was probably born in Edgecombe County, from which his father moved to Orange County about 1761.
(3) The list of children is oddly limited. He had five children in his "first family": Asa, Rebecca, John, James, and Cynthia in that order, and perhaps nine in his "second family": Isaac, Sarah, Phoebe, Allen, Mary, Anna, Ann, Tucker, and Jesse.
