She was born December 24, 1921 in Taylorsville, Utah to Charles David Barker and Annie Mary Rupp. She married David O. Rawson in the Salt Lake Temple on January 28, 1942.
She was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served many years in the Sunday School and Primary organizations. Mary was an extremely hard worker. She loved her home and enjoyed gardening. She loved her family with all her heart and devoted her life to them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four loving sisters; three brothers; her dear son, David, Jr., and his wife Barbara. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-nine years, David; daughter, Kathy (Daniel) Davies; son, Robert (Calleen); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in the Taylorsville Memorial Park Cemetery, 4575 South Redwood Road (1700 West). Family and friends may visit from 11:00-11:45 a.m. the same day at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West).
