Mr. Julian Marshall Cox
89 of Nashville TN formerly of Mayfield Ky died Wednesday January 5, 2011 at Summit Medical Center in Nashville TN. He was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Mayfield for over 40 years; Member of the Mayfield Masonic Lodge; Navy veteran as 2nd Class Gunners Mate and retired employee of the U.S. Dept of Agriculture- Soil Conservation Service. He is survived by his son, Michael B. Cox of Madisonville KY; two daughters, Merrie Ann Pewitt and Julie Christina Faulhaber both of Nashville TN; step-daughter, Joyce Lynn Younger of Helena MT; two sisters, Peggy Vaughn and Leta Taylor both of Atlanta GA; 11 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Leigh Webb Cox; step-son, Johnny Swanson; 3 brothers; 2 sisters; parents, George Henry and Mary Ann (McHan) Cox. Services are scheduled for 2:00PM Saturday January 8, 2011 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield Ky. George Cook will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held after 1:00PM Saturday at the funeral home.
