Purchased land in Elk Township, Vinton County, in 1816. He owned 675 acres, giving each of his three sons 60 acres each.
The 1850 Census lists real estate valued at $4000. Thomas and his wife were among the organizers of the Campbellite Disciple Church of Clinton Township. Both are buried in the Old McArthur Cemetery.
Edward Salts Sr. and Rebecca Ross. They were married 1804 in Ross County, Ohio. They had 8 children.
