Kay "Frog" Stewart, 69, of Wabash IN went home to be with Jesus on July 30, 2007 at 11:20pm at Millers Merry Manor East in Wabash. She was born March 6, 1938 in North Manchester, Indiana to Glen and Alma L. (Way) Persley.
She married Patrick J. Stewart on May 18, 1972 in Kingsland, GA; he died September 4, 1985.
Kay retired in 2001 from Midwest Poultry of North Manchester, and was a 1956 graduate of Noble Township High School.
She is survived by her mother, Alma Persley of Wabash, IN; daughter, Nannette (Rick) Grindle of Wabash, IN; 4 grandchildren, Angela (Brian) Harter of Indianapolis, IN, Stefanie (Brad) Patrick of Waynesboro, PA; J. T. (Tia) Grindle of Amboy, IN and Levi Miller of Wabash, Indiana; 3 great grandchildren, Brody Harter of Indianapolis, IN, Alton Patrick of Waynesboro, PA; Alaina Harter of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Allen (Donna) Persley of Jonesboro, IN; 2 nephews, Kent Persley, and Robert Persely, both of Wabash, IN; step-niece, Karen Converse of Jonesboro, IN. She was preceded in death by her sister, Penny Persley.
Memorial services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash, on Friday, August 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gerald Zook officiating. Burial will be at Matlock Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call from 1-2pm Friday at the funeral home.Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer or Wabash-Miami Home Healthcare & Hospice.
