Mrs. Weir was born in Bedford and moved to Muncie as a child with her parents, T.D. and Ophia Fish Bartlett. She graduated from Burris High School, attended Ball State, where she was a member of Alpha sorority, and graduated from Purdue University, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
Mrs. Weir was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Monday Afternoon Club, Theta Alums, and formerly was active in numerous community projects and philanthropic functions, including Muncie Civic Theater, Muncie Symphony Women's Association, and Muncie League of Women Voters. She was a member of the board of Ball Hospital Auxiliary for several years.
She was chosen Lady of the Year by Beta Sigma Phi sorority in 1960.
Her husband, who died in 1969, was a local attorney. He served as city attorney during the administration of Mayor Joseph Barclay, and was elected a state representative to serve in the 1955 General Assembly.
Surviving are three children, Patricia Weir and Don Weir, both of Indianapolis, and Richard Weir, Muncie; four grandchildren, Andrea, Adrienne, Allan, and Alyssa Weir; and a brother, Don Bartlett, Vincennes.
Services will be held in Meeks Mortuary at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and prior to services Saturday.
Memorials may be sent to the Visiting Nurse Association.
